Did you know that whisks could turn into apple trees? Well they can! I took some kitchen whisks, placed them in some playdough and gave my kids red, yellow and green pom poms to put “apples” in the tree and then pick the apples off the tree!
After they played around with it for a while they explored the many sorting opportunities this activity has:
- Sorted by color
- Sorted by size
- BONUS! Sorted by size and color My favorite was watching them sort by size and color because that can be a challenging task when sorting by two different characteristics!
To Do: Gather some whisks, place them in playdough for sturdiness. Grab some colored pom poms and have your kiddos put the apples in the trees!
