As I noted in a previous post, I am obsessed with the colored chickpeas I made and my kids are obsessed so I am trying to use them in as many activities as I can! Here is an activity I thought of where the kids could form letters or make drawings and outline or fill with chickpeas! We first started using a washable black marker and writing on the back of a duplo board.
I wrote some letters first, and the kids outlined them with chickpeas. Max (6), however, had his own agenda so he decided to draw a tree house (next photo) and he outlined it with his chickpeas! It was actually a pretty great tree house! You can create some activities for your kids first (such as outlining letters, numbers, shapes, etc) and then give them the washable marker and have create their own unique design to fill with chickpeas!
